Serpentine is up to #3, only behind “Life” with David Attenborough (Blu-ray and DVD=2) in Amazon’s “Hot New Sellers” for all educational. This gives me a feeling of satisfaction, gut crunching excitement, and big, big gratitude to World Dance New York, who are largely responsible for the strength of this DVD. This may seem like shameless self-promotion, and… okay, in part it is! But it’s also an important moment to acknowledge the people who produced this DVD.
Their contribution to the world dance community is immeasurable. Neon, WDNY’s director is brilliant, focusing entirely on the positive while she guided me in content and presentation. They’ve made 100 DVDs, and know what works and what doesn’t. They are raising the bar for the dance community by making the DVD a real educational tool. For those of us who may not have the budget to travel the world and study with all the dancers we would like, they provide an important resource at an incredibly reasonable price. You can find them on facebook and tell them how much you love ‘em, or visit their website at http://www.worlddancenewyork.com to see some of their other offerings.
Thanks,
RB
